We all liked #4: \u201cA hard head makes for a soft ass.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n Magic Jack ATX<\/strong> added a personalized prequel to his mother\u2019s favorite poem, which praises mothers and sons.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n Donna Dechen Birdwell <\/strong>told the person drama and politics behind mothers and daughters.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n Lila McCall <\/strong>wrote a book of Momisms for her straight-A daughter when she first left for college so she would know what to do while on her own and not have to move back home!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n Teresa Y. Roberson <\/strong>shared her mother\u2019s and grandmother\u2019s home remedies for the most common ailments.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n Thom the World Poet<\/strong>, accompanied by Magic Jack ATX,<\/strong> chanted some of the wisdoms his mother shared with him over the decades such as \u201cMake sure you have more in-come than out go\u201d and \u201cYou\u2019re big enough and ugly enough to look after yourself!\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n Before the\u00a0intermission, the host invited audience members to get a medicinal hot toddy for themselves.
